Product Description
Logitech V470 Cordless Laser Mouse for Notebooks with Bluetooth - Blue

Customer Reviews:
4 out of 5 stars Good bluetooth mouse.   July 30, 2010
Mark W. McDonough (Y-Town, Ohio)
I have both this mouse and teh Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000. Both are just fine for use and are accurate, etc. The Logitech mouse is a bit larger, which my wife likes. The MS one is smaller, but has a "back" tumb buttopn whih I like. Either will solve your wireless mouse needs well.

5 out of 5 stars Mouse around town   July 19, 2010
Steven Evans (Torrance, CA USA)
I love this mouse. I have been using one of these for the last three years on countless trips across the country. The mouse is well designed, feels comfortable to use and the battery lasts for a good three months of constant use. I have used it with a variety of Operating Systems - currently using it on Windows 7 and Ubuntu - no problems at all.

I believe a lot of the negative reviews are based solely on bad software (vista!). Of course, how would the average user know? It's just a bad mouse to them.

My only issue with the mouse is that the black coating on the sides of the mouse, where your thumb would rest, does eventually come off. It's a matte black textured coating, probably for grip. Underneath is the shiny black plastic. That is why I have just bought another one of these. The old one just looked tatty.

3 out of 5 stars A fairly good mouse, with a few issues.   July 16, 2010
Collin Klopfenstein (Sequim, WA USA)
I bought this mouse to go with my Acer 7740g gaming laptop. I am using in conjunction with an Iomega Bluetooth dongle, as my laptop doesn't have BT built in.

I am writing this primarily as a PC user for all the other PC users who are considering using this product. Most of the review about this product seem to be from MAC users who are loving the white version of this mouse, since it matches the color of their 'computers'. Basically, I wrote this for all the users of REAL computers! :)

THINGS I LIKE:

1 Love the color. (Blue!) It matches MY ACER quite well. (touche' Mackies!)

2 I was happy with how easy this was to install with Windows 7. No drivers needed.

3 It keeps its connection to my Laptop very well.

THINGS I HATE:

1 Mouse goes to sleep far too quickly, It is not the end of the world, since it wakes up fairly quickly too, but still can be irritating.

2 The MOUSE IS TOO SMALL! Yes, I know, it needs to be portable, but I have LARGE MANLY HANDS. (As I suspect many PC users do, primarily because most of us are not 8 year old girls.) This thing hurts to use for long periods of time. To give you some idea, if it had 3 times the volume, it would fit rather well in my hand. As it is, my hand has no support and ends up fatigued.

Conclusion:

As far as I can tell, this is the best Bluetooth mouse available as of the date of this review. If you must have a Bluetooth mouse, then this is probably the one you should buy. Just know what you are getting into.

5 out of 5 stars Great for Mac's   July 16, 2010
Weather Nut (MI USA)
I have used this mouse for about 3 weeks. I did not install the Logitech software and this mouse works just fine. It connects to my MBP without an issue. there is a slight lag if you do not move the mouse for a few seconds (10-15) but it is not bad. I play first person shooter games with this mouse and it works just fine.

2 out of 5 stars Good item with terrible build quality.   July 11, 2010
Daniel L. Lipschitz (Dallas, Tx)
Overall the mouse works well, it responsive and comfortable to use. But the build quality is not good. It feels very cheap.

Also, for macs, you will probably have to download software from the website, the included software was not compatible with updated OS.
