1 out of 5 stars So far no help   August 31, 2010
James (Stockton, US, Canada)
When I ordered the VCR2PC I understood that it would work with Windows 7.
When I contacted support I received the following: The Video 2 PC is not "officially" supported in Windows 7 at this time.
When will Windows 7 compatible drivers be available for my product?
As soon as possible. Please visit our website often, where new drivers will be made available as free downloads on the as soon as they are available. Each product has its own dedicated page on our site where all driver and software updates can be found. #####

5 out of 5 stars Computer dummy can use it!   August 22, 2010
LINDA S BRADLEY
I purchased this product specifically for it's advertised ease of use in transferring VHS tapes to my computer so I could save them to DVD. The instructions are sort of bare minimum but really... after I started ... it all came together beautifully. I've had no problems with the unit. It's was easy enough for me (a computer dummy) to figure out how to get the tapes to transfer. Quality is great as well. I'm WELL pleased with this product! If I can do it, anybody can do it!

2 out of 5 stars Home Movies   July 27, 2010
Movie Fan
The ION Audio VCR 2 Pc was easy to set up, it worked with XP Professional, but I had to return everything. Unfortunately, I could not adjust the tracking enough after I installed a VHS tape. Because I could not adjust the tracking enough the home movies had lines running through the bottom of the screen. I tried putting in two more tapes, but the same thing happened. That is why I ended up returning the system.

1 out of 5 stars This thing SUCKS!!!!!   July 22, 2010

I ordered this peice of junk despite the nasty reveiws, but I soon found that every bad thing said about it was true. It ate the first tape I put into it and froze my computer three times (Even when I was using it with the provided software!). It is totally useless, save yourself the aggrevation. I don't even know why this thing is up for sale. I know the price is tempting, but don't fall for it. Someone would need to pay me just to try to get this thing to work again. Horrible! Crappy! Useless! DO NOT BUY IT!

1 out of 5 stars Died / broke after a little over 3 months.   July 10, 2010
John Henry (USA)
Don't buy this if you plan on using it very long.

After using for a little over 3 months without any problems, it simply died in mid-stride. A tape only loaded half way and it just quit. All buttons started flashing rapidly. Unable to eject, power on/off, ff or rew.
NOTHING. Sent e-mail in...no response.

No FAQ help, no reset button...nothing.

Definitely a throw away product, as repairing it would cost more than it's worth.
Too bad...it worked for a while, anyway.
