I bought this turntable so I could transfer all of my LP's to my PC and burn them to Cd's. The turntable does what it is supposed to do. I have had no problems transferring music from my records to my computers hardrive. The software that comes with it works fine.

I am an audiophile, and own over 500 albums, many of my albums are what are called PROMO or Cutout records. Some are so unique they were never digitally remastered to CD and can not be found anywhere. br / br /Technology has finally came up with an easy affordable way to take your old vinyl albums and connect easily to your computer and convert the songs to MP3 format which is comapatable with almost all cd players, ipods, mp3 players, etc.. br /In less than 10 minutes I unpacked the box, setup the turntable loaded the software they gave me. It needed ITUNES - free download, it is owned by Apple and it downloaded flawlessly and Walla in less than an hour, I had an old album on my computer. Burnable to CD using your favorite burning software. br / br /A sidenote, I OWN Discwasher Pro album cleaning system. br / br /DISCWASHER D4+ Record Cleaning System br / br / br /My albums are flawless. BUT, to remove scratchy records and noise ION did provide additional software. Good turntable to convert your old vinyl. I have recorded over 100 of my old albums and now have them on my PC. Only bad thing about this turntable is the instructions and bundled software. I suggest using Nero or another third party.

the turntable was a much-appreciated gift for my husband. he has so many albums he can't enjoy that we decided this would be the perfect gift. he loves it and is enjoying music he hasn't for some time. the editing presents problems because it is a complicated program, but the sound quality is great and if you're patient you'll really enjoy your purchase too!
